Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or any engineering discipline from a recognised institution with a minimum 45 percent marks or equivalent CGPA (40 percent for SC/ST). Alternatively, candidates who have cleared B.Tech 1st year from a recognised university in the same branch with minimum 45 percent marks are also eligible.

Admission is purely merit-based on qualifying examination performance; no GATE, JEE Main, or other entrance exam is required for lateral entry.

On offer letter receipt, candidates must deposit an initial fee of INR 60,000, which is adjusted against first-semester academic dues.

Admission Process

Apply online at juet.ac.in under the B.Tech Lateral Entry category by the last date (June 28, 2026); pay the application fee of INR 1,200 online.

Upload diploma marksheets (all semesters), community certificate if applicable, and a valid photo ID as per the application portal requirements.

Merit list is drawn based on qualifying diploma CGPA/marks; candidates receive an offer letter and must deposit INR 60,000 to confirm the seat.

Report to JUET Guna campus on the notified date with all original certificates for document verification and registration formalities.

Pay the balance of the first-semester academic fee (INR 1,21,000 minus INR 60,000 already deposited) as mentioned in the offer letter.
