Ques. What is the seat intake for M.Lib at BBAU?
Ans. BBAU offers 38 regular seats and 8 paid seats in the Master of Library and Information Science programme. Among the regular seats, 16 are for the unreserved category, 13 for SC, six for ST and three for EWS. Paid seats are open to all categories at a higher tuition. All admissions are based on CUET-PG scores in the Library and Information Science paper (COQP13).
Ques. What is the total fee for M.Lib at BBAU?
Ans. The total fee for M.Lib (two semesters, one year) under the regular fee structure is INR 8,300. This includes tuition of INR 1,500 per semester, examination fees, medical fees, annual sports and library levies, one-time admission and enrollment charges, and refundable caution deposits of INR 1,000. Paid seat holders pay tuition of INR 15,000 per semester, with all other fees identical to regular seats.
Ques. What qualification is required to apply for M.Lib at BBAU?
Ans. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc. or B.LIS) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognised university to apply for M.Lib at BBAU. The CUET-PG Library and Information Science paper (COQP13) is mandatory for all applicants. Graduation in a general subject without a library science foundation degree does not make a candidate eligible for this programme.
