Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology from an AICTE-recognised polytechnic in a relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent (45 percent for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B).

Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from an AICTE-approved polytechnic with a minimum of 45 percent are also eligible for lateral entry.

Candidates who hold a B.Sc degree from a UGC-recognised university with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 50 percent aggregate are also eligible.

A valid JELET 2026 rank is mandatory. JELET is conducted by WBJEEB for lateral entry into the second year (third semester) of B.Tech programmes across AICTE-approved colleges in West Bengal.

Admission Process

Register and appear for JELET 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in. JELET 2026 exam is scheduled on June 13, 2026. Download the admit card and check your rank after result declaration.

After the JELET result, register for WBJEEB lateral entry centralised counselling. Choose UBKV Cooch Behar and select B.Tech Agricultural Engineering during choice-filling.

Seat allotment is published by WBJEEB. If allotted UBKV, pay the provisional seat acceptance fee online to confirm your admission.

Report to UBKV, Pundibari, Cooch Behar, with original diploma/degree certificates, JELET rank card, allotment letter, category certificate (if applicable), and recent passport photographs for document verification.

Complete fee payment and enrolment formalities at the UBKV accounts office. Attend the orientation programme and commence the third semester of B.Tech in August 2026.
