Swarnim Gujarat Sports University (SGSU) is a state public university established in the year 2011. The university is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It is the second sports university established by any state. Swarnim Gujarat Sports University provides all the facilities needed by the students in the sports activities. Due to limited career opportunities sports is always treated as extra-curricular activities. The university aims to promote sports activities among the students. The university offers a platform to the students to stand at state as well as national level. The university provides trained human resource for Sports Development in the state. The University through its proposed High-Performance Centre will help players enhance their physical and mental skills required to shine at the global sports arena.

  • SGPU offers B.P.E.S programme of 3-year duration and B.P.Ed. programme of 2-year duration as an undergraduate programme.
  • Students who have completed their graduation are eligible for the programme.

SGSU Postgraduate Programme

  • SGPU offers M.P.E.S and M.P.Ed. of 2-year duration as a postgraduate programme.
  • Any graduate student can apply for the programme.

SGSU PG Diploma Programme

  • SGPU offers 1-year, PG Diploma in sports management, sports coaching, and adventure sports administration.
  • Students who have passed graduation from a recognized university are eligible for the programme.

SGSU Certificate Programme

  • SGPU offers a number of certificate programmes.
  • SGPU offers certificate programme in fitness management, sports management, sports coaching, exercise therapy and Physical Conditioning, adventure sports administration.
  • The certificate courses are offered for 3 months full-time and 6-month part-time duration.
  • Any graduate student can apply for the programme.

  • SPSU offers M.Phil+Ph.D. integrated programme of 3.5 duration and 3-year full-time Ph.D. programme.
  • Any student who has completed a Masters in Physical Education is eligible for the programme.
