Gurugram University M.Sc Physics Admission 2026-27

Admission to M.Sc. Physics at Gurugram University is primarily based on CUET-PG scores, followed by a merit-based counselling process conducted by the university. For the 2025-26 session, the first provisional merit list was released on July 29, 2025, followed by open counselling in August 2025. For the 2026-27 session, the admission process is expected to follow a similar timeline, with CUET-PG 2026 results serving as the basis for merit list preparation.

Note: IIT JAM scores are not used for admission to Gurugram University M.Sc. Physics, but are relevant for students planning to apply to IITs/NITs. CUET-PG is the primary accepted exam for GU admission. CSIR-NET is relevant for students seeking JRF/fellowship after admission.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics or B.Sc. (Pass) with Physics and Mathematics as two of the main subjects.
• Minimum aggregate marks: 50% (47.5% for SC/ST/Blind/Visually and Differently Abled candidates of Haryana).
• Candidates with compartment/re-appear in the qualifying examination are not eligible for admission.

Admission Process:

• Register on the Gurugram University Samarth portal and fill the online application form.
• Appear in CUET-PG (Physics paper) conducted by NTA.
• Merit list is prepared based on CUET-PG scores / qualifying examination marks.
• Attend physical counselling with original documents (DMCs, category certificate, domicile certificate, character certificate, migration certificate, Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs).
• Pay the semester fee online through the Samarth portal after seat allotment.
• Provisional admission may be granted to candidates with pending undergraduate results, subject to seat availability and submission of an affidavit.

Gurugram University M.Sc Physics Scholarships 2026-27

Gurugram University M.Sc. Physics students can avail several government scholarships, particularly those offered by the Central and Haryana State governments. SC/ST students from Haryana are the primary beneficiaries of fee exemption and post-matric scholarships. Additionally, students who qualify CSIR-NET/JRF after admission become eligible for JRF fellowships from CSIR/UGC, which provide substantial financial support for research.
