RCU Palamu B.Tech {Lateral} Computer Science & Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. Candidates must hold a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology from a recognised polytechnic with a minimum of 45 percent marks (40 percent for SC/ST/OBC). Diploma holders in related computing disciplines may also be considered as per AICTE and university norms. Final-year diploma students may apply provisionally.

Ans. Annual tuition is INR 72,000 and examination fee is INR 2,000 per semester (INR 4,000 per year). One-time charges in the first enrolled year include a prospectus fee of INR 1,000, admission fee of INR 2,000, and registration fee of INR 3,000. Total fees for the three-year programme amount to INR 2,34,000.

Ans. Admission is merit-based on diploma marks. Candidates may also participate in JCECEB lateral entry counselling. The B.Tech (CSE) Lateral Entry degree from RCU is awarded by a UGC-recognised university and meets the B.Tech qualification criteria for government recruitment through SSC JE, DRDO RAC, state PSC technical cadres, and other competitive examinations. It is also valid for GATE examination eligibility.
