RCU Palamu Ph.D Science: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. Total fees for the minimum three-year Ph.D. (Science) programme are INR 3,81,000, comprising annual tuition of INR 1,00,000, examination fees of INR 10,000 per semester, and one-time charges of INR 21,000 (prospectus, admission, and registration fees) payable in the first year.

Ans. Doctoral research is available in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geology, and allied science subjects through the Faculty of Science at Ramchandra Chandravansi University, Bishrampur, Palamu.

Ans. UGC-CSIR NET or UGC-CSIR JRF qualified candidates in relevant science subjects are exempted from the university’s own entrance test. JRF holders also receive fellowship support from CSIR or UGC. Non-NET candidates must appear in and clear the university’s PhD entrance test.

Ans. Research areas include condensed matter physics, green chemistry and synthesis, number theory and applied mathematics, plant ecology and ethnobotany, wildlife biology and conservation, mineralogy and geochemistry, and environmental science relevant to Jharkhand’s natural resources.

Ans. PhD Science graduates pursue careers as university and college faculty, scientists in CSIR, DST, and ICMR-funded research institutions, quality control researchers in pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and environmental consultants and government science officers.

Ans. UGC-CSIR JRF holders receive a fellowship of INR 37,000 per month for the first two years, enhanced to INR 42,000 from the third year, as awarded by CSIR or UGC. SC/ST/OBC scholars may apply for government scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal.
