AU B.Pharm {Lateral} FAQs
Ques. I have completed D.Pharm from a private institute. Am I eligible for B.Pharm Lateral Entry at Apex University?
Ans. Yes, you are eligible provided your D.Pharm diploma is from an institution recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and you have secured a minimum of 60% marks. The recognition of your institute by PCI is the key criterion - you should verify this from the PCI website (pci.nic.in) before applying. Private institutes that are PCI-approved are fully valid for this purpose.
Ques. What is the difference between CUET and AUCET for admission to B.Pharm Lateral Entry at Apex University?
Ans. Apex University allocates 50% of seats through CUET (Common University Entrance Test conducted by NTA) and the remaining 50% through AUCET (Apex University Common Entrance Test, conducted by the university itself). CUET is a national-level exam with a fixed schedule, while AUCET is conducted on a rolling basis by the university and can be taken at any time during the admission season. If you have already appeared for CUET, you can use those scores; otherwise, you can directly appear for AUCET at the university.
