Bridgewater State University International Student Admissions

The international students willing to study in the US must adhere to the admission requirements that are slightly different from the national students applying at the university. Academic requirements: SAT/ACT, Official transcripts. The international students are suggested to apply with duly filled application form so that their application doesn’t get rejected. Visa Process for International Students

The International students planning to study at the university need to apply for a student visa to study in the USA post they are shortlisted by the university to pursue their studies. Only those students who are shortlisted to pursue their studies at the university will be issued the I-20 Form. In case all the documents are submitted correctly, I-20 will be issued and mailed to the students. To apply for an F-1 visa, international students must complete the following steps.

  • The international students will be issued form I-20 by the university and after that will apply for the F-1 Students visas to enter the US.

International applicants need to produce the following documents to get the Form I-20:

  • Copy of passport
  • Certificate of financial support (funds worth $31,720.50 (subject to change) must be available specifically for educational expenses for the first year of attendance)
  • Bank statement.
  • Personal data information form
  • Copy of Passport, Visa, I-94
  • SEVIS Transfer Eligibility Verification Form

The selected students are eligible to apply for an F-1 visa as early as 120 days before the program starts. Once the F-1 visa is issued to the students, they are allowed to enter the U.S. as early as 30 days before the starting date of the program.
