Housing Facilities/Residence

  • Presently the university is constructing a new master facility aimed at supporting Rush’s vision for education, patient care, research and community engagement.
  • The university has booked a block of apartments at Tailor Lofts Student Apartments (315 S. Peoria St.) to offer accommodation to the current and future housing needs while the new master facility plan emerges.
  • Some of the types of facilities at Tailor Lofts Student Apartments include 24-hour security on the first-floor entrance, Wi-Fi, 24-hour Mac computer center with printing capabilities, kitchens in every unit and much more.
  • Typical 2 bedrooms with 2 baths will cost almost USD 1200-1220; 4 bedrooms with 3 baths will cost anywhere between USD 890-950 while the studio will cost USD 1,460- 1,560.
  • Students requesting special accommodations at the university need to submit the documentation stating their disability.
  • The university is developing a new master facility aiming to support the university’s vision for education, patient care, research and community engagement.
  • The new plan will include making certain changes to the campus which include the former on-campus housing site, Center Court Gardens, or CCG, which was permanently closed on June 30, 2016.

Application fee- Application Fees at The Graduate College- USD 50 in case applying to the generalist entry master’s program while USD 70 for all other programs.

Basic Admission Requirements

  1. Official academic transcripts (GPAs must be converted to a 4.0 scale.)
  2. Standardized test scores: Official proof of English proficiency like TOEFL or IELTS. The international students must have secured at least (TOEFL score) of at least 88 on the Internet-based version, or 570 (paper-based) and 230 (computer version)
  3. MCAT scores.

  6. Students’ statement of understanding
  7. Three letters of recommendation.

Other expenses apart form basic tuition is as follows:

    • Since there are a limited number of scholarships for the program, including academic and diversity-based scholarships, students are advised to apply before the deadline.

Work-Study

The students while studying at Rush University can earn as well to support their education. The students taking part in the federal college work-study program will be paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be considered a part of the Rush University Medical Center.

Under this program, the federal government pays almost 75 percent of students’ wages while the government’s hiring department takes the remaining 25 percent wages.
