International Student Admissions

North Park University accepts international students, given that they complete all the requirements mentioned below before the given deadline. International admissions for the University are the same, except for some additional documents required from the international students such as passport details, bank records, etc.

Visa process for international students

The students will be required to be accepted in the University before they can be given the Form I-20. Before that, students are required to submit the following documents:

  • Copy of passport identification page (this must be emailed to
  • Bank Statement (bank statements shall reflect at least 6 months of deposit and be in the name of the individual taking responsibility of the payments)
  • Financial Affidavit of Support
  • After this, pay your SEVIS Fee. Your SEVIS ID will be printed on I- 20.
  • Students are required to bring a copy of their online receipt to their interview as well as when they travel to the U.S.
  • Students can apply for an F or J visa and schedule an interview by visiting the U.S. Embassy website for your country of residence.
  • Following documents are required for the interview:
    • Passport valid for at least 6 months
    • Form I-20
    • Acceptance Letter
    • I-901 receipts
    • Proof of funding (updates bank details)
    • Proof of return to your home country after the program

Undergraduate Admissions

North Park University offers more than 40 undergraduate programs including Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Non-profit management, Languages, Management, Literature, etc. It also offers pre-professional programs for careers such as law, medicines and art therapy.   • All summer classes have been moved to online platform using Canvas, O365 Teams or Big Blue Button.
  • Deadlines for dropping a course has been extended to May 1
  • The University has also given the student of a pass/fail option with the approval from the course instructor.

  • Residential housing is the only option for students due to restrictions unless the student is an international student and unable to go home.
  • Late fees on outstanding balances relating to housing has been suspended through May 31, 2020

The University of North Park is quite selective, therefore, it is recommended to submit the optional test scores for more credibility. Also, it is encouraged to apply to the college two semesters before your college starts to give enough time with the application and visa process.
