Spread over an area of 132 acres, the university campus of California State University-Chico is located in Chico, California, 90 miles north of Sacramento and 174 miles northeast of San Francisco.
The university also has a farm spread over 800 acres offering lab experiences. The university also has Ecological Reserves spread over 4,043 acres.
The university offers on-campus housing to its students. However, there is not enough space for every student to stay on-campus and they can, therefore, look for other student housing options near the university campus at affordable prices. These include homestays, shared and rented apartments, etc.
The university gives priority to first-time freshmen students over on-campus housing and are encouraged to live within the University Housing communities.
CSU-Chico offers bachelor’s as well as master’s courses. The university offers over 300 undergraduate and graduate programs. All these academic programs are offered through the university’s ten colleges and several academic departments. The most popular majors offered are Business Administration, Pre-Nursing, Psychology, Liberal Studies, and Criminal Justice.
The university also offers a number of graduate degree programs such as MBA, MS Computer Science, MPA, MA Psychology, etc. However, international students are not eligible to apply for the Agricultural Education, Math Education, and Nursing Programs.

I liked the location and it had a reputation for great post-graduation networking and success! It also seemed very social and gave students the chance to become more outgoing which can be a very attractive quality in the workplace.
Each major and set of classes has different curriculum requirements. Depending on your interest in the subject this can make the course more or less interesting. In general, the courses and their curriculums are rigorous.
