Ohio Wesleyan University International Student Admissions

Ohio Wesleyan University accepts international applications if they have completed secondary education with a college preparatory curriculum, fulfilled the minimum grade point equivalency, provided required official academic records, met the appropriate deadlines, and verified financial support for one academic year.

Admission Requirements: International applicants must satisfy the following requirements in order to be eligible for Ohio Wesleyan University Admissions:

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

International applicants are required to present TOEFL, IELTS, ACT/SAT scores to demonstrate English proficiency. The minimum required scores by the university are:

Students who do not meet English proficiency criteria but meet all other eligibility conditions, can be admitted on the condition that they will have to attend English support classes for the first semester after admission.

Visa Process for International Students

International applicants can apply for a student visa to study in the USA right after the student is successfully admitted into OWU and an application letter has been issued. These students will be issued the I-20 Form, once the admission process is completed and students have made the required amount of deposit at the university. Once you’ve received Form I-20, students must pay a SEVIS fee of 200 USD and save the receipt of payment to be produced afterwards while applying for a visa.

Following documents would be required for applying for a visa at any U.S. embassy:

  • A valid passport
  • Proof of financial support
  • Acceptance letter to Ohio Wesleyan University
  • Form I-20
  • Completed visa application Form DS-160
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Proof of payment of SEVIS fee
  • Passport size photographs

After all these documents have been submitted, the applicant needs to get an interview appointment with the US embassy located nearby in order to get a valid visa.

Ohio Wesleyan University Undergraduate Admissions

Ohio Wesleyan University offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, Bachelor of Music Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree and a combination of degrees in programs like engineering, interdisciplinary and applied science, medical technology, optometry, and physical therapy. Aspirants should possess a minimum GPA of 2.0 to be considered for admission at OWU. Aspirants are required to submit transcripts in a sealed envelope directly from the sending institution.
