SUNY Fredonia International Admissions

To be considered for admissions at SUNY Fredonia, international applicants must meet additional requirements. To provide better assistance to the international applicants, Fredonia has established a separate office of International Admissions.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • Academic Transcripts from all previous institutions should be directly mailed to SUNY Fredonia. English translations of original transcripts.
  • Financial Statement form or Bank statement.
  • Proof of Income
  • English Proficiency Test score must be sent directly from the testing agency to SUNY Fredonia.
  • Copy of identification page of the applicant’s passport
  • Letter of Intent or Statement of purpose which highlights an applicant’s expectations from the chosen program.
  • Departmental requirements: Apart from these requirements, some programs might have specific requirements such as work experience, portfolio, etc.

Conditional Admissions

Applicants who fulfill all the admission requirements except SUNY Fredonia’s English proficiency requirement may be offered conditional admission. These applicants are only admitted to an academic program after they enroll in Fredonia’s EC English language program. Enrolled applicants must complete the program and reach the required level of proficiency.
