East Tennessee State University International Student Admissions

East Tennessee State University offers admission to international applicants whose applications reflect great potential. The application process for international applicants is similar to domestic applicants. However, international applicants are required to meet additional requirements to be considered for admission.

Admission Checklist for International Students

  • Applicants are required to complete the online application form and submit the 35 USD application fee.

    • Undergraduate applicants need a minimum GPA of 2.3.

English Proficiency Test Score

International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at the time of admission. The university’s acceptable English proficiency test scores are:

Visa Information for International Students

International applicants can begin the visa process only after they are offered admission by the university. Once the admission letter is generated, the university will issue the I-20 or DS-2019. However, the applicants are required to submit the following documents to acquire I-20:

  • Picture page of a valid passport.
  • Admission letter
  • Scholarship letter, if any
  • Proof of financial support

Once the applicants receive the I-20, they may start to apply for an F-1 or J-1 student visa to study in the United States. For this, they have to complete the following process:

  • Pay SEVIS fee
  • Apply for the visa
  • Schedule and attend the visa interview

East Tennessee State University Undergraduate Admissions

East Tennessee State University provides admissions in more than 100 undergraduate programs. The undergraduate applicants can use either the online portal or paper application form.

East Tennessee State University offers over 130 graduate programs to all the prospective applicants. All the applicants must use the university’s online portal to apply for any graduate programs.
