Visa Process for International Students

The international students enrolled to Eastern Oregon University must possess a student visa to study in the U.S. Selected international applicants will be mailed the I-20 form by the University.

  • After receiving the I-20 Form, SEVIS 1-901 fee must be paid.
  • For obtaining the F-1 student visa, the online visa application must be filled.

    • Science (3 years)- must include one year each in any two fields of chemistry, physics, biology or earth and physical science, with one lab science
    • Social Studies (3 years)- must include one year each of U.S History, global studies, and social studies elective (government recommended)
    • Second language (2 years)- Two years of the high school-level second language, or satisfactory performance on an assessment of second language knowledge
  • Verification of finances through Affidavit of support and original bank statements
  • Copy of passport

Eastern Oregon University offers 4 master’s degree programs that include Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Masters of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Science. The admission requirements for different programs may vary.

With an acceptance rate of 98%, securing admission to Eastern Oregon University is relatively easy. Undergraduate applicants who have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and graduate applicants, who have minimum GPA 3.0 and submit the supporting documentation in adherence to the deadlines, are granted automatic admission. In case the applicant does not fulfill the requirements, an individual portfolio can be submitted to the Admissions Committee 30 days prior to the course start date so that conditional admission can be granted.
