Located on the Gateway of Mexico, Texas A&M International University is an intellectual center and hub to Study in the USA. They are very popular for their arts and science programs. It is accredited to the Southern Association of colleges and schools commission on Colleges to award bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees. 

The college is known for their affordable fee structure and a holistic learning approach. The University aims at making Higher studies affordable and accessible in the US Education System.   • Due to COVID-19 situation, the State has suspended all the Visa appointments for now. 
  • The institute will no longer be issuing I-20’S and DS-2019 to newly admitted summer semester students, they are encouraged to defer their attendance to Fall 2020 or Spring 2021. This guideline is only applicable for students currently located outside the USA.

International Student Admissions

Application Portal: The students have to apply using Online Application Portal

Basic Admission requirements:  

Documents have to be certified by an official and contain a seal and should be delivered to the Admission Office. 

  • Submission of official high school transcripts to be made 
  • Submission of scores for English proficiency tests through, Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing (IELTS) 
  • Submission of ACT or SAT scores (Minimum ACT score: 19, Minimum SAT score: 900) 
  • Financial Documents (Students requesting an I20) 
  • Complete financial statement form 
  • Submit the Sponsor’s letter

International students transferring to Texas A&M International University from another institution in the US must submit the following documentation

Visa Process for International Students

  • To apply for a Visa to Study in the USA, the students need to be accepted by a SEVP approved school. 
  • Once accepted by the school, they will be enrolled in the Student Exchange Visitor information system (SEVIS) 
  • The next step is to pay the SEVIS fees. 
  • The school then provides a form I20 to present in the Visa Interview

The University has a graduation rate of 37%. Students should not apply for summer semester as the Department of State is longer scheduling Visa appointments for international students in the light of COVID. Students are encouraged to apply in the winter 2020 or spring 2021 semester. Applicants must fill in the forms as early as possible and attach test scores. All previous school transcripts are required in English, if not, they should be translated word by word into English. 

The Visa application takes a lot of time therefore students are advised to apply as early as possible. GRE is an optional paper, only mandatory for a few programs. Standardized examination tests like ACT or SAT and one language proficiency test like IELTS or TOEFL are mandatory. Along with this a great resume, statement of purpose and willingness to achieve will be your weapons!
