Western Illinois University Admission 2020-2021, Requirement, Deadline & Acceptance Rate

Updated On - October 23rd 2019By -  Bhavya Rawal

Western Illinois University (WIU) is moderately selective in admitting students with an acceptance rate of 60% as of Fall 2017. Applications are accepted thrice a year: Fall, Spring, and Summer.

  • Both undergraduates and graduates can apply through the university’s online application portal.
  • Undergraduate applicants with at least 1030 SAT/20 ACT score and a 3.0/4.0 GPA are awarded the Western Commitment scholarship automatically. These awards are renewable up to eight semesters and the application deadline is May 15.
  • International students may be required to take additional courses at Western Illinois University to bridge any gap/deficiencies in previous coursework.
  • A major advantage offered to international students is that the application for admission and application fee is valid for two consecutive years from the first application date if the applicant did not attend at all or did not complete the online application. The University can be requested to Reactivate Application form.
