The Temple University has a moderate acceptance rate of 56.7%. Students are primarily accepted for Fall and Spring season, however, there are courses which accept admissions on rolling basis depending on the seat availability.
To start the application, international students need to fulfill academic requirements by submitting the scores of SAT/ACT/GRE/GMAT etc. and demonstrate English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE Academic scores. They may take up pathway programs in case if they fail to meet the English language requirements. After submission of prerequisite documents for admission, students need to wait for at least 2 weeks for the decision.

The students unable to score the minimum required scores may attain proficiency in English by taking the pathway program in Intensive English Language Program.

Applicants with 3-year work experience in information technology are eligible to request for exemtion from GRE. Supporting Documents: Post-secondary academic transcripts, statement of purpose (500 words), and information about any prior research experience. The PhD applicants are required to mention the research topics and the faculty under which they are interested to pursue research.

Academic Requirements: Applicants have to submit GRE scores an IELTS/TOEFL score to be considered for admission. A minimum score of 79 is required on TOEFL iBT and 6.5 on IELTS.
The Temple University encourages the students to submit the academic scores via World Education Services.
Supporting Documents: Students must submit a 500–1000-word statement of purpose mentioning about their interest area and what motivates them to choose Temple.
Also, students have to submit an academic writing sample, i.e., any paper written for a program in last 5 years. Other requirements include two letters of recommendation preferably from college/university faculty, current professional resume, and an interview after the completion of application.
After the acceptance of the admission letter, students need to take care of following things:
Students seeking accommodation at the University's residence complex need to pay non-refundable booking deposit of 250 USD along with the tuition deposit.
For I-20, international students need to fill their Cerificate of Eligibility Application Form and submit the supporting documents as early as possible.
Subsequently, the international students are required to apply for a student Visa.
All the students need to secure their place for orientation at the TUportal.
