The first pharmacy college of the nation, University of the Sciences Philadelphia (USciences) was founded in 1821. The university offers UG, PG and doctoral degrees in pharmacy, medicine, and other health-related fields. The acceptance rate is 58%. With more than 100 laboratories and partnerships with more than 60 organizations, the university offers residents and international students with hands-on practice in their respective areas of study.

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Program, Campus and Residence

University of the Sciences offers 25 undergraduate and 25 postgraduate courses

Program

along with 10 research courses to the students.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Neurosciences and a certificate course in Brewing Science are also introduced in the curriculum recently.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy program is a highly ranked program of the University.

Campus

The campus has more than 100 labs accessible to all students. A Science and Technology Center is also located within the campus (McNeil Science and Technology Center). The campus also has a gymnasium, natatorium, and fitness areas.

Residence

The university offers three traditional residence halls. Freshman students have to apply for the residence along with the meal plan offered by the university. The hostels offer single as well as shared rooms.

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia application process

  • Application: Online applications are made through Common Application portal for both undergraduates and graduates.
  • Application deadlines: Rolling admissions are offered, i.e, the university accepts applications throughout the year for undergraduates. Deadline for graduate programs is March 1 (Fall) and October 1 (Spring).
  • General required: High school transcripts, certificates, NOC, statement of professional goals, 3 letters of recommendation, ACT/SAT scores, GRE scores are required for various graduate programs.
  • Additional certificates: identity proof, passport, visa, health insurance, scholarship form, medical certificate, income proof, etc.
  • English Language proficiency: Minimum English proficiency scores for international students are given below:
