Duquesne University Admission Deadlines

The university operates on a rolling admissions basis. There are no application deadlines. However, it is recommended to submit the documents at least 6 weeks before the start of the semester so that all the necessary documents can be arranged.

The requirements for graduate degree vary from program to program. So applicant should make sure to review the intended’s program website before applying.

The application deadline is December 1 for the following programs are:

Duquesne University International Admissions

International applicants have to submit the online application along with a mandatory information form and personal essay. The essay should reflect the applicant’s life experience and purpose for choosing a particular program.

Academic requirements: ACT/SAT (optional), Official transcripts

Language requirements: TOEFL or IELTS test scores are not required for admission to undergraduate programs, but strongly encouraged.

The international students have to give English language placement tests at arriving at Duquesne. Students are tested on campus with Accuplacer exam and Writing Sample; placed into appropriate coursework upon completion.

All students whose home language is not English must be cleared by the ESL Program before registering for classes.

The university starts the review of applications in September and it typically takes four to six weeks for most programs. However, for programs like Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Biomedical Engineering and Pharmacy the decision typically reach in early January.

For PG programs, once the application is complete, it will go to the appropriate committee for review. As each program handles its own admissions process, the time it takes to hear back from the program will vary.
