Plymouth State University International Student Admissions

The admission process for international applicants is same as that for the US applicants. But, international applicants are advised to carefully review their visa process and other documents. Also, if you are applying for an undergraduate course than apply it through panther application which is free and takes just 7-8 mins to get completed.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • Notarized copies of applicant’s high school transcripts.
  • Notarized International Financial Certification Form 2019 – 2020, which includes copies of bank verification (evidence of financial ability to afford university costs)
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.95 in the last two years of their previous program.
  • GRE/GMAT exam scores as per program requirement.
  • Proof of English proficiency for non-native English speakers.

International applicants can submit the TOEFL and/or IELTS scores as proof of English proficiency.

If applicant doesn’t have the above mentioned scores than University also accepts the application but the applicant will be placed in the Semester for Academic Language Success (SALS) as part of their academic degree program:
  • TOEFL score (min paper score=500-529; online score=61-70),
  • IELTS score (min score=5.5 with not less than 5.0),
  • PTE Academic score (minimum score of 46-51)

Visa Process for International Students

  • International applicants will be issued Form I-20 from the university
  • Complete the I-20 and pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.
  • Applicants then need to apply for the F-1 or J-1 visa. Submit the form and pay the fee.
