Arkansas Tech University Admissions for Fall 2018, recorded an acceptance rate of 90%. Applications are accepted from international students for various undergraduate & graduate and programs. International applications are usually accepted during the Fall, Spring or Winter semester at ATU.

The average SAT scores of admitted candidates were 990 (out of 1600) and ACT was 19 (excl. written). There are no Early Action admissions at Arkansas Tech University. Application fee is 50$ for UG and 90 $ for PG courses.

Guidelines for Transfer Students

Transfer students need official transcripts from each previously attended institution and proof of immunization.

If transferring candidate scored less than 24 credit hours, an official high school transcript and ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER scores must be submitted. Transfer applicants with more than 24 hrs, who have not completed college-level English or math, will be required to submit test scores.

Visa Process for International Students

  • Citizens residing outside the USA can obtain Form I-20 from the university but only after filling the application.
  • Students must provide passport copy and other necessary documents.
  • After completion of I-20, the applicant has to pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.
  • After that, choose F1 OR J1 visa which will be based on your selected program
  • Visit embassy, submit the required documents and attend an interview and expect your visa before the deadline given by the university.

  • Academic records (Official marksheets, grade reports, and certificates, etc. certifying or showing that the completion of your secondary education or equals to US 12 years of school. Also, all transcripts and documents must not be notarized)

  • Entrance exam test scores (ACT/SAT/ACCUPLACER) are a must for all applicants.ATU offers relaxation for students as if the applicant didn’t give the ACT/SAT exam than they have the choice to give in campus ACCUPLACER exam and if the candidate scores well in that it will increase the chance of admission.
  • Proof of sufficient financial support is mandatory for all International applicants.In the case of Undergraduate studies, the estimated cost of study including tuition and fees, housing, meals, books, and other living expenses is $22,805 USD for 9 months. Documents must be issued within 6 months of admission. (Financial sponsor statement is mandatory for students whose educational expenses are covered by a third person) or (if a student is financing their own studies a form will be provided by the university assisting information related that)

*A score of 1,000 derived using the formula [GMAT + 200*GPA = 1,000] having a min GPA of 2.50 and min GMAT of 450.A minimum combined GRE score equivalent to GMAT of 450. Visit ETS Conversion Chart for conversion. After a combined GRE score is converted into a GMAT score, the GMAT score should also meet a score of 1000.

University also offers conditional admission (candidates who don’t have proper documents but can provide them in a fixed time frame) for some courses such as MBA and ME.

Applicants looking for admission to graduate-level programs offered at ATU must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Some of the graduate programs require a 4 year undergraduate degree so fill the application accordingly.

All transcripts from previous universities attended must be submitted to Arkansas Tech University via post or email. Minimum GPA requirement for most graduate programs is 2.75.
