Seattle University fits Indian applicants seeking a private Jesuit US university with STEM-OPT eligibility and direct tech industry proximity. Total two-year investment of around ₹ 90 Lakh against a $ 73,484 median 10-year salary yields a workable payback for MS Computer Science, MS Business Analytics and MS Data Science candidates targeting Pacific Northwest tech employers. F-1 visa holders access 36 months of post-study OPT work authorisation for STEM degrees.

It is a weaker fit for applicants prioritising a top-100 QS world rank or research-heavy PhD tracks. Candidates chasing global brand recognition may prefer University of Washington Seattle, which sits inside the QS world top 100 but runs a lower international acceptance rate.

Fees

  • the Fees structure here is credit-based
  • I am charged 950 USD per credit. Typically, subjects offered here are of 3 or 5 credits in my course.
  • along with the fees they charge for the medical insurance, which is around 1800 USD per quarter.
  • My monthly expense is around 800 USD, which includes my rent + utilities and my groceries.
  • I live within walking distance from the university, so I do not have to pay any transportation costs.
  • Usually public transports cost 5 USD for unlimited travel for 24 hours.
  • The university also gives an ORCA card that helps to pay for the public transport. Where you pay 50 USD and the university puts in 50 USD, making it a total of 100 USD.
