Campus

CityU has 25 campuses throughout North America, Asia, and Europe and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Various programs are offered in departments of Business, Leadership, Education, Project Management, Health, and Human Services, and Computer and Information systems. Education mode is on-site (on-campus) and online or mixed.

Housing/ Residential Facilities

City University has state-of-art residence halls located in the vibrant South Lake Union neighborhood in downtown Seattle. You can contact the advising team at info@cityu.edu for other housing options.

  • Cornish Commons is an award-winning 20-story residential hall shared by City University of Seattle and Cornish College of Arts.
  • All quarterly housing fees include a USD 200 meal plan credit. Additional meal plan funds may be added after arrival.
  • Rooms are of 5 types: two-person, three-person, single, super-single rooms and two-person room. 

You need to complete the application process on the website for housing for all seasons intake. Review the housing contract policies, complete a housing contract, pay USD 300 housing administrative fee and review Housing and Residence Life Immunization Policy.

Programs, Faculties, and Divisions

Degree, non-degree, associate and certificate programs are offered by the City University of Seattle. University has 6 departments including the Leadership and Business & Management. Over 900 faculty experts in their fields teach the students.

Admissionrequirements:

  • For Undergraduate, a high-school diplomas or equivalent, English language proficiency according to CityU standards.
  • For graduate and certificate programs, the applicant is required to hold a four-year or three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 

English Proficiency Requirement: International students are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL test scores to demonstrate proficiency in English language.

Tuition fee per credit for programs offered by the City University are:

Financial Aid and Scholarships

City University of Seattle provides a generous amount of financial aid to the students and is dedicated to their students. There are Grant, Loans, Work-Study, and Scholarships.

Merit-based scholarships offered by the City University are:

  • President’s Merit Award Scholarship: 
    • USD 5,000 given in the first three quarters of enrollment in the academic program
    • Grade average of 90% or higher is required 
  • Academic Achievement Scholarship: 
    • USD 2,000 scholarship given during the first three quarters of enrollment in the academic program
    • Grade average of 80% or higher is required

International students can also apply for other financial aid options such as international scholarships awarded in their home country and education loans to finance their education. 

Work while you study

Students are not allowed to work off-campus in their first academic year. On-campus jobs are available such as working in the library, cafeteria or student center. After completing their first academic year, students can gain some work experience. 

International students seeking employment such as can apply for jobs such as OPT (Optional Practical Training, STEM, Optional Practical Training Extension and CPT (Curricular Practical Training). USD 4 to 7 per hour can be earned.
