Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) located in Tallahassee, is the only Black University in Florida. It was founded in 1887, and is also the fifth largest Black university in terms of enrollment in the United States of America.
Programs, Campus and Residence
- About 61 undergraduate, 29 masters and 12 doctoral degree programs, under six schools and six colleges are running in the FAMU currently. Some of the popular majors are – Humanities, Social Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
- On a 422 acre campus the FAMU offers residence facility, which includes four residential halls, four apartment complexes and a village to accommodate its students.
