University of South Florida Admission 2020-2021, Requirement, Deadline & Acceptance Rate

Updated On - October 19th 2019By -  Supriya Sarkar

The admission process at the University of South Florida (USF) has become competitive over the years. The average acceptance rate has been recorded to be 44%. Three factors that are primarily considered while granting admission to students include:

  • Grades
  • Rigor of curriculum
  • Standardized test scores

USF encourages students applying for undergraduate courses to take the ACT or SAT in the Spring term of Junior High School. The average SAT and ACT scores attained by the accepted students are:

SAT: 1220–1350

ACT: 27–30

Students applying graduate courses are advised to submit the copies of standardized test scores, e.g. GRE/GMAT, to quicken the application process. However, they must note that admission decisions will be given only after receipt of scores sent by ETS.

Please note that of two types of deadlines, i.e., priority and final deadline, USF favors the applications made within priority deadlines, and therefore applicants must keep their test scores and other requirements ready to submit the applications within priority deadlines.
