Mainly because of the cost, but the academics are also very strong here. there are lots of opportunities for undergrads who seek them out which is really beneficial. the population of the school is generally very intelligent which is also a plus.
it's difficult, but also the first time I feel challenged. I can't complain because I enjoy it a lot more than high school, but it is really difficult sometimes. the classes are much more interesting and the work is generally meaningful, except for some busywork.
Brandeis provides amazing research opportunities, has a strong sense of community, an amazing campus, and push for social change. It is also located close to Boston and other colleges, but it is a smaller school and located more in nature which appeals to me.
I think it is great that they allow such a strong concentration o your chosen subject while also requiring other subjects. Even though it is a research university the curriculum could almost be compared to a liberal arts school. They see how important it is to create a well-rounded student.
