Ohio Northern University Admission Deadlines

All the international applications must submit the application by May 15, 2020. Apply to ONU by April 15 for the fall semester and by November 13 in case applying for the spring semester. The students can submit the required documentation to the International Admissions office at int-adm@onu.edu.

Ohio Northern University International Student Admissions

Visa Process for International Students

The International students need to apply for a student visa to study in the US post an application letter is issued to them. Students whose applications have been approved will be issued the I-20 Form. The F-1s student visa is issued to the full-time students planning to study in the U.S. The qualifying students must need the following things to begin their studies in the US.

  • The prospective students must get a Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status, Form DS-2019.
  • The Designated School Official (DSO) will take care of the immigration-related matters related to F-1 students and will verify whether or not a student has demonstrated the ability to pay the international student tuition and fees or not.
  • The international students will be issued form I-20 by the university and after that will apply for the F-1 Students visas to enter in the US.
  • Applicants will need to provide the following documents to receive the Form I-20:
  • Copy of passport
  • Proof of financial support (must be at least $12,000 per semester). The amount can be either in the form of a savings account, CD statement, etc.
  • Bank statement.
  • Personal data information form
  • Complete the I-20 and pay the fee. Submit the application along with paying the application fee.
  • Schedule a visa interview at the nearest US embassy to begin with the process. DS-2019 form allows a prospective exchange visitor to seek an interview at the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to get a J visa to enter the United States.
  • All the international students holding J-1 visas need to purchase ONU Student Health Insurance

Once verified, the Form DS-2019 will be issued to be qualifying students and will be sent directly to the admitted student.
