  • International students willing to study in the US are required to present their scores for TOEFL and/or IELTS to demonstrate English proficiency. The minimum required scores by the university are:
    • TOEFL: 79 and above (Utica Campus); 100 and above (Albany Campus
    • IELTS: 6.0 and above (Utica Campus); 7.5 and above (Albany Campus)

Visa process for international students

  • The International students need to apply for a student visa to study in the US post an application letter is issued to them. Students whose applications have been approved will be issued the I-20 Form. The F-1s student visa is issued to the full-time students planning to study in the U.S.
  • The students must present financial documents so as to demonstrate the ability to pay the fees for the course applied for once the student is accepted. After this, the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute shall issue an I-20 Form to you.
  • If the student requires an F-1 Visa, bank statements are also required to be submitted which must portray that you have access to Estimated Total Annual Costs before the form is issued.
  • If the University deems fit, it may request for any additional financial information, which will be notified to the applicants.
  • International students must apply for a visa after the completion of the application process. For applying for a student visa, the student shall need the following documents:
    • Valid Passport
    • I-94
    • Health Insurance
    • Address of the place of stay
    • Original I-20
    • Receipt of $200 form I-901 fee payment

GMAT Waiver Options

  • Applicant has a previous master’s degree in another field; or
  • Applicant has passed all four section of the Certified Public Accountants examination; or
  • The applicant is a licensed Certified Management Accountant; or
  • The Applicant has an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher and has completed graduate business or accounting coursework at SUNY Poly as a non-degree student, and has earned a grade of B+ or higher in each course.
  • The applicant has an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher in any major from any accredited university or college, within the last 7 years; or
  • The applicant has relevant professional experience of 5 years or more, will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
