Louisiana State University (LSU) accepts admissions in summer, spring and fall season. The university has a total of 30861 enrollments out of which 25444 students are enrolled in an undergraduate program.

In the year 2018-19 the LSU received 24280 applications for the undergraduate program, however, only 18025 students were offered admission. The acceptance rate for undergraduate admission is 76% that makes the university moderately selective.

The school admits about three-quarters of all applicants, and those who get in tend to have grades and test scores that are above average.

Louisiana State University International Admission

The applicants must apply early and submit transcripts as soon as possible to enhance the chances of getting admission. The applicants can check the application status of their application on the myLSU portal.

Academic requirements - ACT/SAT, Official transcripts

Students who have taken advanced-level exams, international baccalaureate higher-level exams, or other types of secondary education should submit the official certificates, transcripts, and course syllabi for possible advanced placement university credit.

Additional requirements - Affidavit of Support and proof of funding, Health Insurance(for F-1 and J-1 students)

All International graduate and undergraduate students who are new to LSU are required to take the Michigan English Placement test.

Louisiana State University Graduate Admission

LSU offers 49 doctoral and 73 master’s degree programs of study. The applicants should check the admission requirements of their desired course.

The university provides Merit-based scholarship and Graduate Assistantship (GA) funding for eligible MBA candidates on a competitive basis. GA awards provide a monthly stipend and waive the LSU nonresident fee for out-of-state students.

The Graduate School accepts academic/credential evaluations from third parties such as World Education Services (WES), Academic Evaluation Services (AES), AACRAO International Education Services (IES), or other similar services.
