Tuition fees for the top slab have not moved. Computer Engineering stayed at INR 5,37,390 for a second year running. But three branches shifted to a cheaper slab for 2026-27.

VIT Pune Institute Level Application Fee and Payment Deadline

The institute released the institute level admission notification on August 3, 2026. Online applications close on September 8, 2026. The ACAP and SPOT round for vacant CAP seats shares that date.

Every applicant pays a processing fee of INR 2,000 online. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. It is paid once. It then stays valid for every later institute level round.

The course fee itself is paid only after a seat is allotted. Allotment follows merit, branch preference and seat availability. Payment modes include online transfer, UPI, cards and demand draft.

Candidates must also register on the State CET Cell portal at cetcell.mahacet.org. Document verification at a scrutiny centre is compulsory.

VIT Pune NRI Quota Fees 2026-27

NRI candidates hold a 5 per cent share of institute level seats. The fee for this category is billed in dollars.

NRI candidates pay USD 12,000 as tuition and development fee. This is the same for all 12 B.Tech branches. Another INR 6,671 is charged towards eligibility, exam, university and insurance heads.

Scholarships and Fee Waivers on Institute Level Seats

The CAP fee sheet lists category-wise concessions. SC and ST candidates pay INR 6,171 in the first year. OBC, EBC, EWS and SEBC candidates pay INR 1,22,606, and TFWS candidates pay INR 33,041.

The institute level fee sheet carries no such category rows. Government tuition fee and freeship schemes need admission through a CAP round. Institute level candidates pay the full branch fee shown above.

Fee concession under the CAP sheet follows document scrutiny. The list covers caste certificate, caste validity and non-creamy layer certificate. An income certificate valid till March 2027 is also needed.

Hostel charges do not appear on the institute level fee sheet. They are billed separately by the hostel office. Rooms are on a two or three sharing basis. The mess is compulsory.
