What the Andhra University Grade Card Shows?

The online marks page carries these details.

  • Student name and registration number
  • Course, semester code and exam month
  • Subject-wise grade and grade points
  • Credits for each subject
  • SGPA for the semester and CGPA so far
  • Pass or fail status for each subject

Students should match the name and registration number with the hall ticket. Any mistake goes to the college principal or the examination branch.

Andhra University Grading System and SGPA Calculation

Andhra University uses a 10-point grading scale. Marks above 90 percent earn the top grade, O, worth 10 grade points. A failed subject earns zero grade points.

How SGPA Is Worked Out?

SGPA is a weighted average. Each subject's grade points are multiplied by its credits. The total is then divided by the total credits.

Example: A student gets 9 points in a 4-credit paper. The same student gets 8 points in a 2-credit paper. SGPA = (9 x 4 + 8 x 2) / 6 = 8.67.

CGPA follows the same method across all semesters cleared so far. SGPA usually appears only when every subject of that semester is cleared.

How to Apply for Andhra University Revaluation and Scrutiny?

Revaluation opens online, course by course, after each result. The Examination Branch lists open courses and last dates on the revaluation page.

  • Check that the course appears in the open list.
  • Enter the registration number and security code.
  • Pick the theory papers for revaluation.
  • Pay the fee online and download the receipt.

Only theory papers can be revalued. Practical subjects are not eligible. Revaluation results appear on the same portal, marked "Revaluation".

Deadline: Revaluation for ten M.Sc (1-2) courses closes on October 29, 2026. Late forms are not accepted online.

Andhra University Result Not Showing: Common Fixes

Most "result not found" problems come from three causes.

  • Wrong button: the course sits under a different programme type. MCA under Engineering is a common example.
  • Result expired: the 30-day window has passed. The college exam cell can then help.
  • Wrong exam month: regular and revaluation results for one semester carry separate entries.

The examination helpline number on the portal is 0891-2844000.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ques. What does the code (1-2) mean in an Andhra University result name?

Ans. The first number is the year. The second is the semester of that year. So (1-2) is the first year second semester. (2-1) is the second year first semester, or semester 3.

Ques. What does Regular and Supplementary mean in the result list?

Ans. One result list covers both groups. Regular candidates appeared for the semester for the first time. Supplementary candidates reappeared for papers they failed earlier.

Ques. Is the date of birth needed to check the AU result?

Ans. No. The result page asks only for the registration number and security code.

Ques. Why do some revaluation results say Phase I or Phase II?

Ans. The university releases revaluation results for some courses in batches. A student missing from Phase I should check the Phase II entry later.

Ques. Will revaluation marks replace the original marks?

Ans. As per previous practice, changed marks after revaluation are treated as final. If nothing changes, the original marks stay on record.

Ques. Where should students send revaluation status queries?

Ans. Students can meet the Superintendent, E-X Section, on working days. The visiting time is 12 noon to 1 PM. Queries can also go to rvsupport@andhrauniversity.edu.in.

Ques. Can revaluation fees be paid through a challan?

Ans. The exams portal has a Challan Payment option along with online payment. Fees once paid are not refunded or cancelled.
