Amity Kolkata BTech CSE fees are ₹1,34,500 per semester in the first year for non-sponsored students. Two semesters total ₹2.69 lakh. MBA is ₹2,44,500 per semester, or ₹4.89 lakh for the first year. Hostel, deposits and other separate charges are extra. New 2027 fees are yet to be confirmed.

Amity Kolkata Semester Fees

Non-sponsored academic fees

Non-sponsored academic fees
Programme Duration Fee per semester in first year
BTech Computer Science and Engineering 4 years ₹1,34,500
BTech Biotechnology 4 years ₹1,16,000
BBA 3 years ₹1,22,500
BCA 3 years ₹72,000
BCom (Hons) 3 years ₹77,500
BA LLB (Hons) 5 years ₹1,09,000
MBA 2 years ₹2,44,500
MCA 2 years ₹94,000

The fee period is one semester in the first year. The BBA amount of ₹1,22,500 is therefore one of two first-year academic payments. BCA is ₹72,000 per semester, making its first-year academic fee ₹1.01 lakh lower than BBA.

BCom (Hons) is ₹5,500 more than BCA per semester. The corresponding first-year difference is ₹11,000. BA LLB (Hons) has a ₹1,09,000 first-year semester rate, but its five-year duration does not establish that the same rate will continue for all ten semesters.

The amounts are for non-sponsored students. A sponsored-category offer can have a different fee. The university and campus must also match: a fee for another Amity campus is not the Kolkata fee.

MBA ₹2,44,500 ₹4,89,000

These totals include two academic semester payments. Later-year rates, one-time charges and hostel payments are additional where charged.

Engineering, MBA and MCA Fees

Comparing the first academic year

CSE tuition is ₹18,500 more per semester than Biotechnology. Over the first year, the difference is ₹37,000. MBA totals ₹4.89 lakh for the first year, while MCA totals ₹1.88 lakh.

MBA is ₹1,50,500 more per semester than MCA. Over two semesters, the difference is ₹3.01 lakh. These first-year amounts reflect the different course fees and do not include an automatic scholarship or alumni concession.

Amity Kolkata Pharmacy and Psychology Fees

BPharm fees

The Bachelor of Pharmacy page quotes a first-year non-sponsored semester fee of ₹85,500. Two semesters amount to ₹1,71,000. The degree lasts four years, but the page's first-year quotation does not establish a fixed eight-semester total.

The amount is separate from accommodation and any additional charge in the offer. It should also be matched to the admission category: a sponsored offer can carry a different rate from the non-sponsored amount shown here.

Psychology degree options

Psychology degree options
Current course option First-year semester fee Two-semester amount
BSc Clinical Psychology, three-year option ₹67,500 ₹1,35,000
BSc Clinical Psychology, four-year honours option ₹67,500 ₹1,35,000
Bachelor in Clinical Psychology, four-year option ₹80,000 ₹1,60,000

The Kolkata programme list gives these as separate courses. The two BSc options share the displayed first-year rate, but their durations differ. The separately named Bachelor in Clinical Psychology has a higher quotation.

A student choosing the fourth year needs to account for that additional period of study and any accommodation required. Equal first-year payments do not make a three-year and a four-year qualification equal in total cost. The precise course title in the offer should match the fee row used for planning.

Amity Kolkata Scholarships

Undergraduate merit awards

Undergraduate merit awards
Class 12 marks Scholarship
93% or above 100%
88%–92.99% 50%
70%–87.99% 25%

The scheme accepts CBSE, ISC and state-board students who passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026. The percentage uses English and three academic subjects, with exclusions given in the policy. Scholarships cover the first year; later continuation follows the renewal rules.

The Amity scholarship page gave 5 September 2026 as the application deadline. Seats were limited and offered on a first-come basis. The 2027 terms are awaited.

The scholarship calculation has its own subject rules. English and three academic subjects are used, with the policy's excluded subjects left out. A student's overall school percentage may therefore differ from the percentage used for the scholarship.

The 100%, 50% and 25% awards are tuition support under the scheme. They should not be treated as a waiver of hostel, mess or every additional charge. For illustration, 25% of the ₹2.69 lakh first-year CSE academic fee is ₹67,250, leaving ₹2,01,750 before other charges, if the whole stated academic fee qualifies for the award.

Continuation is subject to the renewal rules. An initial award does not automatically fix the concession for the entire degree. The 2026 deadline and eligible passing years belong to that scheme, and a later batch requires its own applicable terms.

Amity Advantage

Eligible Amity alumni from the 2024, 2025 and 2026 batches can receive a 10% concession for higher education at Kolkata. Applicants need their previous Amity qualification records. The approval confirms the fee component and period covered.

The concession is intended for eligible Amity alumni entering higher education. The previous qualification and batch must meet the scheme's conditions. A student should not add the 10% alumni concession to a merit scholarship without approval of the combined benefit.

Amity Kolkata Hostel Fees 2026

Room fee and security deposit

The university's selection FAQ quotes ₹1,39,000 per year for an AC hostel room in the 2026 session. A new resident also pays ₹15,000 as a one-time hostel security deposit. These two components add to ₹1,54,000 at joining.

The FAQ refers separately to campus cafeterias and food choices; it does not establish an included fixed mess package in that room quotation. Food and other living expenses therefore need a separate budget. Accommodation availability and the actual allotment should be confirmed before payment.

First-year academic and hostel examples

First-year academic and hostel examples
Programme First-year academic fee Hostel plus initial security Combined named components
BTech CSE ₹2,69,000 ₹1,54,000 ₹4,23,000
BBA ₹2,45,000 ₹1,54,000 ₹3,99,000
BCA ₹1,44,000 ₹1,54,000 ₹2,98,000
BCom Honours ₹1,55,000 ₹1,54,000 ₹3,09,000
MBA ₹4,89,000 ₹1,54,000 ₹6,43,000
MCA ₹1,88,000 ₹1,54,000 ₹3,42,000

These calculations combine the published academic payments with the named hostel components. They are not complete all-inclusive packages: food, any academic security or other joining charge, and personal expenses remain outside the calculation. No scholarship has been deducted.

The ₹15,000 security component is shown separately because it is a joining payment rather than the room tariff itself. Later hostel demands should use the rate announced for that year. The first joining amount should not be repeated across the full degree without checking the applicable residential schedule.

Fee Payments and Financial Assistance

Paying the academic and hostel accounts

Any approved scholarship or alumni concession should appear in the fee statement. Students should retain the payment receipt and concession letter for later instalments.

The first payment follows the admission offer. Later academic instalments and any scholarship adjustment should be recorded against the correct semester. Payment receipts and the approved concession letter provide the record of what has been paid and what remains due.

The university provides online payment through the admission microsite and specified pay-order or demand-draft arrangements. Its FAQ distinguishes the academic and hostel payment accounts. Students should follow the current instructions in the offer and retain the receipt for the correct account.

Education loans and approved concessions

Kolkata's admission information also mentions assistance with education loans and the relevant state support schemes. Bank approval, covered expenses and repayment terms need to be established separately. A loan can finance the fee payment but does not reduce the university's original charge in the way an approved scholarship does.

An applicant who expects scholarship support should keep the award letter with the fee statement. The concession needs to identify the eligible component and period. If a student holds both an alumni-concession claim and a merit-scholarship claim, the university must approve how they apply; adding the two percentages independently can give an incorrect payable amount.

Amity Kolkata Fees FAQs

What is the first-year cost of BTech CSE with the listed hostel?

The named components add to ₹4.23 lakh: ₹2.69 lakh in academic fees, ₹1.39 lakh in hostel charges and ₹15,000 hostel security. Food, other applicable charges and personal expenses are additional. This is a calculation from the stated components, not a university package quotation.

Does the scholarship cover hostel charges?

The merit scheme concerns the approved academic-fee component. Hostel and other payments should not be reduced unless the award expressly includes them. The student's written scholarship approval determines the benefit.

Can the first-year semester fee be multiplied across the whole degree?

That would assume an unchanged rate in later years. The programme pages label the amount as a first-year fee, so the full-course total requires the university's later-year terms. This matters particularly for four-year engineering and five-year law courses.

Are the non-sponsored figures valid for a sponsored offer?

The sponsored category can have a different fee schedule. The student should use the amount in that category's offer and confirm any approved concession against it.
