ICAI CA September 2026 overseas exams are conducted in 3 cities: Bahrain, Dubai (UAE) and Kathmandu (Nepal).

  • ICAI CA September 2026 overseas exam fee for the foundation course is $350 (except for Kathmandu) & Rs 2200 for Kathmandu candidates
  • ICAI CA Intermediate exam fee for overseas candidates is $325 for 1 group & $500 for both groups (except for Kathmandu).
  • ICAI CA Intermediate exam fee for Kathmandu is Rs 2200 for a single group and Rs 3400 for both groups
  • If ‌overseas candidates miss the last date for the September exams, they can still register for the exam until July 22nd by paying a late fee of $10 (except Kathmandu candidates) and 600 Rs for Kathmandu candidates.

Who Can Register as an Overseas Candidate

An overseas candidate for ICAI CA purposes is a student currently residing outside India who wishes to appear in the CA exam at a foreign exam center. ICAI permits you to register as an overseas candidate if you:

  • Hold a valid ICAI student registration at the Foundation, Intermediate, or Final level
  • Are currently residing or working in a country where ICAI operates an active exam center
  • Have completed the required study period or articleship training applicable to your level

Students who are temporarily abroad but maintain a registered address in India may also opt for an overseas center subject to ICAI’s guidelines and center availability at the time of registration.

  • The exam at the Dubai centre will commence at 12:30 PM Dubai local time, whereas the exam at the Bahrain centre will start from 11:30 AM local time. The The

ICAI CA exams for both the Foundation and Intermediate exams are scheduled for September 2026. The registrations for the September exams will start from 6th July and end on 19th July 2026.

Ans. The last date for overseas candidates to submit the ICAI CA September 2026 examination form is July 19, 2026. You can still submit the exam form till 22nd July, but with the late fee of $10 and 600 (for Kathmandu candidates).

ICAI CA September 2026 Exam Fee for Overseas Candidates

Overseas exam fees are payable in US Dollars (USD) and are considerably higher than domestic fees. The fee for the CA Intermediate exams is 500 USD for both groups, whereas students who are just giving a single group exam have to pay 325 USD.

  • Kathmandu exam centre uses a different fee structure and costs you 3400 for both groups of CA intermediate exams.
  • Overseas students (except Kathmandu) have to pay 325 USD for the ICAI CA foundation course, whereas Kathmandu students have to pay 2200 Rs.  
  • Candidates have to pay the extra fee if they missed the last date for exam registrations. 600 Rs for Indian and Kathmandu students and 10 USD for Bahrain and Dubai candidates. 

The exam fee is non-refundable once submitted. Students paying from overseas should factor in any applicable bank or international transaction charges over and above the exam fee amount.

ICAI issues specific guidelines for students appearing at overseas exam centers each attempt. Keep these points in mind before and after registering:

  • Center activation depends on enrollment: A center is confirmed only when the minimum number of students has registered. If your center is not activated, ICAI will shift you to the nearest active overseas center or a domestic India center.
