Common Mistakes in Ray Optics and Optical Instruments Numericals
Mistake 1: Substituting values before simplifying the formula. Always rearrange to isolate the unknown first.
Mistake 2: Ignoring sign convention. Use the standard convention consistently - incident light travels left to right and distances are measured from the pole of the mirror or lens.
