According to Kerala Education Minister Professor C Raveendranath, all the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and glitch free exam. Also keeping in mind the ongoing nationwide lockdown, strict protocols and guidelines have been set for the students and the teachers at the examination centers.
Protocols to be followed at the examination center
- Students who are coming from other states to Kerala, will have to undergo a compulsory 14 day quarantine period. Special arrangements are made for them.
- Students residing in containment zones, will be provided special seating to minimize the risk of infection to other students.
- Teachers/supervisors and staff members present at the exam center must compulsorily wear a face mask and gloves. Students will also have to wear face masks during the entire period of examination.
- Every individual who enters the exam center has to undergo thermal scanning. The Kerala government has purchased over 5000+ Infrared Thermometers to check the temperature.
- Earlier last week, the Kerala Government allowed students to opt for change in exam centers. Around 10,920 students applied for change in the exam center. Special arrangements are made for distribution of question papers for such students.
- Special transportation facilities to ferry students to and from the exam centers to their homes.
- Answer sheets will be kept at the respective exam centers for 7 days. Once the answer sheets would be sent to the regional evaluation centers, the Fire Department will carry out thorough disinfection of the exam center premises.
