LPU has opened applications for 2027 BTech and MBA admission. BTech applicants can apply and book their LPUNEST slot until 15 January 2027 under the current schedule. Most BTech branches need 60% in Class 12 with the stated subjects. Regular MBA applicants generally need 55% in graduation, an accepted test score, a video essay and an interview.

The tests have different purposes across courses. LPUNEST is part of BTech admission and can also decide a scholarship. Under LPU's general UG process, some courses use Class 12 merit for admission and offer LPUNEST for scholarship.

LPU BTech Eligibility and LPUNEST 2027

The BTech 2027 rules set 60% Class 12 marks with Physics, Mathematics and English for most BTech branches. Some branches also require Chemistry; the biology-related branches accept Mathematics, Biology or Biotechnology with Physics, Chemistry and English. Students appearing for Class 12 in 2027 may apply, but must later pass and meet the marks and subject rules.

BTech applicants receive an LPUNEST rank and fill branch preferences during online counselling. CSE also accepts JEE Main and CUET under its course rules. Applicants using these scores must confirm that their chosen branch accepts the exam.

LPUNEST can be taken at a test centre or through the supervised online option available during slot booking. Counselling uses the rank, branch preferences and available seats.

LPU MBA Eligibility and Selection 2027

The MBA 2027 eligibility rules ask for 55% in a bachelor's degree for the regular MBA and several named MBA courses. LPU accepts LPUNEST, CAT, XAT, MAT or CMAT for those courses. A qualified Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant can use the separate eligibility option given for those courses. Business Analytics and Data Science and AI have their own accepted degree subjects, so applicants for them must check that course's rule.

MBA applicants submit a two-minute video essay introducing themselves and explaining why they want to study MBA. LPU screens the essay and entrance score, then calls shortlisted applicants for an interview. Applicants book an available interview slot and must clear this stage.

How to Apply for LPU Admission 2027

  1. Register on LPUADMIT with a working email address and mobile number.
  2. Choose the course and branch. Read its subject, marks and test rules.
  3. If the course requires LPUNEST, pay for the test form. The soft-copy kit costs ₹1,000; the printed kit costs ₹1,500.
  4. Book an available test slot. Take the test at the chosen centre or through the permitted online option.
  5. For BTech, download the scorecard, fill branch preferences and check the allotment. For MBA, complete the video essay and interview steps.
  6. If offered admission, make the initial payment, upload documents and pay the remaining fee by LPU's deadline.

For courses that use LPUNEST only for scholarship, admission follows the course’s merit process. Applicants can take LPUNEST separately to seek a fee waiver.

BTech Counselling and Seat Allotment

After LPUNEST, BTech applicants download their scorecard and enter branch preferences. LPU allots seats using rank, preferences and vacancies. Students receiving an offer download the allotment letter and complete the admission requirements. Further rounds depend on vacant seats.

Documents and Admission Payment

LPU asks for a recent photograph, Class 10 marksheet, qualifying exam marksheet or certificate, and address proof during BTech and MBA admission. A student claiming a scholarship from earlier marks must also provide the marksheet used for that claim. A student waiting for final results may upload them later, within the time LPU gives.

After allotment or selection, LPU asks for an initial ₹10,000 payment. It then sends a candidate ID or provisional registration number. The student must show original documents for checking and pay the remaining fee by the stated deadline. Missing proof of eligibility can stop admission or scholarship.
