Vidyadhan Scholarship Program is an initiative of Sarojini Damodaran Foundation. It is conducted to support the education of the college students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society across various Indian states. This program provides financial assistance to students of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat, and Odisha. 

Currently, Vidyadhan Scholarship Program has funded the education of more than 4300 students residing in these states. It provides funds directly through Sarojini Damodaran Foundation or through external Sponsors that have registered with the Foundation for funding. The scholarship amount funded varies from INR 10,000 to INR 60,000 per year depending upon the course, state and duration. Students are selected on the basis of an interview and their merit scores.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Vidyadhan Scholarship is awarded to the students with meritorious academic records having economically or financially weak family background. The basic eligibility requirements to apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship are:

  • The candidate must have completed 10th Class Education in order to be eligible to apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship. 
  • The candidate must have scored at least or more than 90% marks in their Class 10 or SSC (Secondary School Certificate) Examination. 
  • The disabled candidates applying for Vidyadhan Scholarship must have scored at least or more than 75% marks in their Class 10 or SSC (Secondary School Certificate) Examination. 
  • Only those candidates are eligible to apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship who have completed their Class 10 Education from any of the following states: Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat or Odisha. 
  • The annual family income of the candidate applying for Vidyadhan Scholarship must not exceed than INR 2,00,000.
  • If the candidate wants to apply for the Class 11 Program of Vidyadhan Scholarship, then the minimum marks required in order to be eligible to apply are 80%. 
  • If any disabled candidate wants to apply for the Class 11 Program of Vidyadhan Scholarship, then the minimum marks required in order to be eligible to apply are 70%. 

Vidyadhan Scholarship Benefits

  • The candidates being selected for Vidyadhan Scholarship from Kerala receive INR 5,000 annually to complete their Class 11 and Class 12 Education. 
  • Whereas, the candidates being selected for Vidyadhan Scholarship from Karnataka, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat or Odisha receive INR 6,000 annually to complete their Class 11 and Class 12 Education. 
  • The candidates after being shortlisted and selected for Vidyadhan Scholarship are mentored through programs conducted by Sarojini Damodaran Foundation. 
  • Further, the students performing and outshining in their academics and extracurriculars in their Class 11 and Class 12 are granted scholarships to pursue their bachelor degrees in any discipline whichever they are willing to study. 
  • The candidates pursuing their graduate level programs therefore receive a scholarship amounting to INR 10,000 to INR 60,000 annually based upon the course, state and duration.

How to Apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship?

Eligible students wishing to apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship shall follow the following steps:

Step 1 : Candidates need to register themselves on the official portal of Vidyadhan Scholarship by filling in their First and Last Name, Email ID and by creating a password. 

How to Apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship?

Step 2: After registration, an activation mail will be sent on your email id mentioned. 

Step 3: By clicking on the activation link, the candidate’s account for Vidyadhan Scholarship will be activated. 

Step 4: After the activation of the Vidyadhan scholarship account, the candidate needs to login and fill in the application form by selecting the relevant program of scholarship applying for. 

Step 5: After filling in the application form for a specific program of Vidyadhan Scholarship, the candidate can also edit his/her application.

Step 6: After the final submission of the application form, a message will be received as follows- “Submission Successful”.

  • For the application updates of Vidyadhan Scholarship and further communication with the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation, the candidate can also track his/her application by logging in on the official website.
  • Further updates regarding the application for Vidyadhan Scholarship will be communicated via email.

Documents Required for Vidyadhan Scholarship

While applying for Vidyadhan Scholarship, there are some mandatory documents that are required to be submitted in order to get selected for the Scholarship and get completed with the application process. Following documents listed below are mandatory to be attached with the application form for Vidyadhan Scholarship:
