Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship scheme is a plan in order to provide the scholarship for the students of the government. The scholarship is provided to the students studying in government funded and non-affiliated colleges or polytechnics vocational courses set by the government, whose students are certified by the competent authority, as marginal Farmers or whose parents are registered as labourers.
The Government released the Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship scheme to help the people with lower financial backgrounds.
Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship Important Dates
- For the session of 2020-21, The Date has been extended to 30th June 2021.
- Last Date for Application Re-apply of the Session year 2019-20 is 30th June 2021.
Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship Eligibility
- Applicants must be a citizen of India.
- Candidate should be domicile of Maharashtra State.
- Applicants must be “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for the professional and Technical Course (Diploma/ Graduation/Post Graduation Degree) as mentioned.
- Deemed University and Private institutions/ Universities are not applicable.
- Candidates should be admitted through the centralized Admission Process (CAP).
- Applicants should not avail any other scholarship.
- For the Academic year, only two children from the same family are allowed for the benefit of the scheme.
- The total income of the family / Guardian should not be more than 8 Lakhs.
- For students who had taken admission for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPTH, B.SC Nursing in government aided/Corporation/Private unaided colleges. Not for those who pursue admission through the institute level.
- Minimum 50% attendance in the previous semester of application is mandatory. however this is not mandatory for the freshers.
- During the duration, Candidates should not have a gap of 2 or more than 2 years.
Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship Benefits
Listed below are the benefits of the scheme:
For the child of registered labour/Alpabudharak (Marginal land holder):
- For institutions in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/ Nagpur city: INR 30,000 for 10 months.
- For institutions in other areas INR 20,000 For 10 months.
For annual Family income upto 8 Lakhs:
- For institute in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad city/ Nagpur city/- INR10,000 For 10 months.
- For institutes in other areas INR8,000 For 10 months.
How to apply for the Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship?
Application Process
Here are some steps provided which provides as the criteria for the applicants in order to apply for the scheme:
Step-1: The applicant first needs to visit the homepage of Aaple Sarkar DBT portal. Go to the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE) and check for the scholarships. A new user primarily needs to register on the portal.

Step-2: Click on “New Applicant Register” to register yourself. (If applicant is applying first time)
Step-3: Provide the information of aadhaar number and proceed further.
Step-4: The applications are required to authenticate their Aadhaar number. There are two types of authentication available for the applicant’s convenience:
- OTP – If the applicant’s mobile number is registered with aadhaar, then they can choose the authentication type – OTP.
- Biometric – If the applicant’s mobile number is not linked with aadhaar card, then they can choose to complete their authentication process through Biometric.
Step-5: Enter Aadhaar number and click on “send OTP” button. The system validates the aadhaar number and sends the system generated “OTP” to the registered mobile number. Then just enter the OTP and click “OK” button.
Step-6: After the successful OTP verification, the applicant details fetched from UIDAI will be auto-populated in the personal details, address details, bank details and so on.
Step-7: Create a “User Name” and “Password” to access the portal.
Step-8: After the creation of login details, log in to the registered account by using “Applicant Login” Button.
Step-9: After successful login, the applicants can see the dashboard with listed available scholarships.
Step-10: Find DTE scholarships in the list and click on “Apply” button to start a new application.
Step-11: Do complete the profile by providing all the necessary information.
Step-12: After the profile is updated, the applicant can go to the “All Schemes” section and search for the Scholarship which comes under the Department of Technical Education.
Step-13: A list of suggested scholarship schemes will appear. Select the Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship to apply.
Step-14: An application form will appear. Fill in all necessary details and upload all supporting documents (if not previously uploaded).
Step-15: Finally, submit the application.
Documents Required
The Documents which are required for the application of the Scheme:
- Mark sheet of 10th (S.S.C) and onwards.
- Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra State.
- Register Labor Certificate/ Marginal Land Holder Certificate (In case of not a child of Alpabudharak or Registered Labour the family Annual Income Certificate).
- Undertaking “In current year, not more than 2 Beneficiaries from Family”.
- CAP Related attendance.
- Hosteller documents (In case of private hostel or paying Guest, Agreement with owner will be required).
- Affidavit
- Father’s PAN Card.
