Foundation For Excellence (FFE) Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
FFE provides scholarships to meritorious students. But, there are certain eligibility criteria which are as follows:
- Applicants must have completed the 12th exam, with a minimum of 70 % marks or above.
- The main point is that the applicant must take admission on the basis of rank obtained in the state & national level test for BE /Btech/MBBS exams.
- Students who are studies in BE, Btech & MBBS in the academic year are only eligible for FFE Scholarship
- Parents’ income should not be more than 2,50,000 per annum.
- Students taking side entry in BE/Btech courses after doing diploma courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
FFE Scholarship Academic Criteria
- FFE scholarship applies only to first/junior year students of Bachelors of Technology, Bachelors of Engineering, MBBS and integrated 5-year dual degree Masters of Engineering.
- Those candidates who enrolled in professional courses on a merit basis are not eligible to apply for the scholarships.
- Besides that, students who secured admission via lateral entry are also ineligible.
- Aspiring candidates must have scored at least 70% marks in their senior secondary or pre-university or intermediate or ICSE or CBSE or equivalent exam no earlier than 2016.
FFE Scholarship Financial Criteria
- The family income must be less than 2.5 lakhs, before deductions. In other words, the family must satisfy the criteria of BPL (Below Poverty Line).
- FFE verifies the educational background as well as the occupation of both the parents (including all the earning members of a family).
- To be eligible, the candidates must show the expenses incurred on his/her education in their lifetime.
FFE Scholarship Criteria for MBBS students
The candidates who are interested in pursuing MBBS must have a rank (Overall India-Common Merit Rank; regardless of any category) below 40000 in the medical entrance exam of NEET.
FFE Scholarship Criteria on the Rank Basis
- If the candidate aspires to enrol at IITs, NITs, or IIITs, have to appear for engineering entrance exams such as Joint Engineering Exam (Main). However, they must have a rank (Overall All India General or Common Merit Rank-Non category) below 75000.
- Another eligibility criteria are that the candidates must satisfy the cut off of JEE (Advanced). But, the rank must be below or equal to the last ranked general category student.
- Moreover, the candidate must have a valid score card (indicating rank) of state, or national level test for engineering exams.

Application Process
The students can apply for FFE Scholarship via online mode. The steps are mentioned below:
- Step 1: Click at ‘apply for scholarship’ to fill the application form by visiting the official website.
- Step 2: Carefully, read all the instructions
- Step 3: Now, click on ‘agree’ and submit. On the next screen, the option of ‘New Scholarship Application' or ‘Renewable Scholarships’ appears. Choose the desired options.
- Step 4: Fill in all the basic information details such as name, age, gender, education institute, address, etc.
- Step 5: Lastly, upload all the necessary documents and click on submit.
- After successful completion of the form, the facilitators will call you to check the eligibility criteria.
Documents Required

- The original mark sheet of Boards Examination of Class 10th
- The original mark sheet of Board Examinations or equivalent certificate of 12th standard
- The original mark sheet, a provisional certificate from the college/institute (if applying for Post Graduation)
- Identify Card, Admission Number, and other documents to prove your admission at the college
- Certificate of Merit (indicating your rank)
- Counselling Letter signed by the Principle (for Seat Allotment)
- A Copy of the Bank Passbook (to confirm Bank Account Details)
- Tuition, Hostel, and Mess Bill Receipts of the College/University
- Statement of the Estimated Expenses from the University
- Salary Slip (last 3 months) and income tax returns, in case of working parents
- Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Department, specifying the gross family income (in case of self-employed parents)
- Bank statement or pension proof showing gross monthly expenses, and an appropriate reason for retirement (in case of retired parents)
- Lump-sum benefits obtained at the time of retirement (in case of retired parents)
- Income Certificate along with the details of size and nature of landholding crops grown (in case of parents are agriculturalist and farmers)
