Aikyashree Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

  • Only female candidates are eligible.
  • The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • Candidates must have completed Class 12th from any recognized board.
  • The student must wish to pursue studies in the fields of engineering, medicine, or basic science at a reputable West Bengal university.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

  • The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The student must be studying in  Class 11/12(must have secured at least 75% marks in class 10th) or candidate must be pursuing graduation in Engineering, Medical, or Technical/Professional fields(must have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th), If they are not taking regular Undergraduate or Postgraduate level degree courses.
  • The annual family income of the student should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
  • This grant is open to students pursuing M.Phil. and doctoral degrees at state-supported schools.
  • The scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students based on merit and financial need.

Hindi Scholarship, West Bengal

  • The student must be a resident of West Bengal.
  • Candidate must be from a state that does not speak Hindi.
  • The student must have received at least 60% in the last qualifying exam, with Hindi as one of the topics, in the first trial.
  • The student must have completed one of the following degree programmes: Madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation, postgraduate, or any other degree programme that is similar.

Application Process

Step 1- Registration

  • Visit the official website of WBMDFC portal or directly click on Aikyashree Scholarship portal.
  • Click on the New Registration
  • Enter all the necessary details
  • Submit and proceed.

Step 2- Scheme Eligibility

  • In the scheme eligibility column on the homepage, fill in the following information: present institution, location, class or course name, last exam passed, board name, year of passing the last exam, percentage marks earned, annual family income, and email ID

Step 3- Registration Completion

  • Use the temporary user ID and password to login into the portal. (Password will be sent to you by email)

Step 4- Student Login

  • Login with Your User ID and Password on the Student Log-In window.
  • Enter all the required details like Basic Information, Academic Information, Bank Account Information.

Step 5- Submit.

Ans. No, students from other states are not eligible for this award. The sole exception is the ‘Hindi Scholarship Scheme,' which is open to students from other states who are present West Bengal residents.
