The Maulana Azad Education Foundation of the Ministry of Minority Affairs of the Government of India awards the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) to deserving students. Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Eligibility

To be eligible for Maulana Azad National Fellowship, applicants must have passed the UGC NET/CSIR NET examination.
Candidate must be a part of one of the minority communities notified under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992 — Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi & Jain.
Until the State Government/Union Territory administration begins to issue the minority community certificate, the candidate should submit the minority community certificate on an actionable and legally valid affidavit.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in M.Phil. or Ph.D. program at a recognized university.
Furthermore, Candidates must have scored a minimum of 55 percent in their Master's.
Transgender applicants are also eligible to apply for this fellowship. Reservations will be made in accordance with Government of India guidelines.
The candidates' annual family income shall not exceed INR 6 Lakhs per annum.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Benefits

For two years (JRF), INR 25000 per month is granted, and for the rest of the duration (SRF), INR 28000 per month is provided.
Contingency grant for Humanities, Social Science, and Commerce: INR 10000 per year for the first two years and INR 20500 per year for the next three years.
Contingency grant for Science: INR 12000 per year for the first two years and INR 25000 per year for the next three.
Escorts/Reader Assistance: Candidates who are physically or visually handicapped will be paid INR 2000 per month.
