MYSY Scholarship or Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana Scholarship scheme is launched by the Gujarat Government for promoting educational benefits to each young student in the state.

The MYSY Scholarship is offered to those students who belong to the economically weaker or backward section of the society, The scholarship is offered to those students who aim to complete Higher education like diploma, engineering, pharmacy and medical courses. The Gujarat Government spends around INR 1,000 Crore on this scholarship. The government aims at providing equal education opportunities to each student in the state. This scholarship aims at helping those students who aren't able to finance their education due to the low financial income of the family; this scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to such students.

Three types of Scholarship are offered under the MYSY Scholarship Scheme:

MYSY Scholarship 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates of diploma courses seeking to apply for scholarships must have a minimum of 80% marks in their secondary examination
Candidates of Engineering and Pharmacy courses must have secured 80% marks in their higher secondary examination
Candidates of medical courses who are seeking to apply for the scholarship must have secured at least 80% marks in their higher secondary examination
Candidates from other bachelor’s courses who are seeking to apply for the scholarship must have secured 80% marks in their class 12th examination.
Candidates from all the above-mentioned courses must have a family income of not more than INR 6 LPA.

MYSY Scholarship 2021: Benefits

MYSY scholarship can be availed by the unreserved students for financial assistance towards books and other academic equipment.
Students pursuing their medical courses from Gujarat Medical Education Research Society and Dental courses are offered financial help of up to INR 10 Lakh which can be availed by them during their 5 years of course.
Under the MYSY Scholarship scheme students from all the categories get 5 years of relaxation in government jobs.
Students are also provided training under various training and coaching centres for various competitive examinations if he /she wants to appear for any.
The government also offers financial assistance or INR 1,200 for a stretch of ten months to the students who live in a region where there are no higher education facilities and/or government hostels.
Students who are enrolled under the MYSY Scholarship scheme are provided free-of-cost outfits, uniforms, books, copies, other reading materials and academic materials etc.

MYSY Scholarship 2021: How to Apply?

The candidate is required to visit the official website of the MYSY Scholarship.
Now, log in or register yourself for the current year. If the applicant is already registered on the portal, then they need to log in with their credentials and if they are not registered on the portal then they will have to click on “if you have not registered, please click for registration”.
Next click on the 'fresh application'.
Next step a new page will appear on the screen where the applicant needs to fill in their details regarding university stream passing year board enrollment number mobile number.
The next step is to generate a password after which the registration form will open on the screen.
The applicant needs to fill in the form carefully with all the required details.
In the last and final step Applicants need to attach the important and required documents after which they need to click on the submit button.

Ques. How much of the tuition fee grant does the MYSY Scholarship provide?

Ans. The MYSY Scholarship provides different tuition grants to different courses. For Medical and dental courses, the maximum tuition fee grant provided by the scholarship is INR 2 Lakhs. For professional graduation courses the grant given is INR 50,000 and for diploma courses is INR 25,000. The grant given for other graduation courses is INR 10,000.

Ans. The MYSY Scholarship scheme gives a monthly grant of INR 1,200 to students as a hostel fee grant to the beneficiary students who are eligible to get the scholarship.
