Monash University International Admissions

Monash University has 22,859 international students coming from different countries.

To apply for admissions, international students need to provide the below documents while submitting their applications:

  • Course code
  • Name of the course
  • Course start date
  • Copy of documents which has been specified in the course entry requirements

  • Proof of English Language Proficiency

Visa Process for International Students:

  • International applicants have to apply for their visa online through the Department of Home Affairs online Application system.
  • Students need to meet the General Temporary Entrant requirement/GTE.
  • A personal statement addressing the GTE is required to be submitted.
  • Applicants need to provide the following documents for GTE:
    • Copy of passport
    • High school transcripts/certificates
    • Proof of financial support/previous employment details
    • Bank statements
  • Students can apply for a student visa as soon as they get a Confirmation for Enrolment by the university.
  • To submit the visa application, students will also require the Overseas Student Health Cover/ OSHC.

Monash University Undergraduate Admissions

The university assesses international application against the minimum age, English, and academic entry requirements. If all the documents are requirements are fulfilled then the university will make a full offer. An email will be sent to the applicant.

If the university does not offer an applicant a full offer immediately, the applicant may receive a conditional offer. A conditional offer means the applicant must submit more information in order to receive a full offer.

If the applicant is not successful for first-course preference, the university will assess for the next preference on the application form, or for a pathway program through Monash College.
