- A1 = 4.0
- A2 = 3.5
- B1 = 3.0
- B2 = 2.5
- C1 = 2.0
CBSE scores are assessed using positional grades in English/Hindi plus the best 4 other subjects. The GPA values for these subjects are added together to calculate the total score. This final score is then used to determine the student’s eligibility group or category.

- The professor that I wanted to do my PhD research with was located in this university.
- The facilities are great, the administration is approachable and very helpful, research facilities are best-in-class, has a phenomenal gym and recreation facility, is home to some very influential professors that are known worldwide.
Dislikes
- The tuition fee is exhorbitant for international students. If you are not there with a scholarship or a grant, it can prove difficult for you. In general, living and studying in Australia is quite expensive.
Overview
Overall the campus is large and green and well organised. Administrative support to students is very good since they deal with many international students. Additional support is offered to students if need be, like mental health related facilities, temporary accommodation arrangements, airport pickup when you first enter. They have a good number of very qualified academicians and research scientists that foster a rewarding educational and research experience.
Campus Life
Research facilities very cutting-edge. The campus has a fantastic gym and recreational center. Spent several hours there. Events, mixers, faculty balls were all very well organised and enjoyable.
Overview
Having done my masters' from IIT-Roorkee, I wanted to explore the field of railway geotechnical engineering. The iconic railway lab facilities at the University of Wollongong compelled me to apply to the University. I was inspired by the state-of-the-art research being carried out at UoW and wanted to learn and pursue research in the field of experimental geotechnics.
Fees
Approx $17000 per semester. But it is waived if you receive IPTA Scholarship.
Overview
It was located in a suburban area with good views. It has the courses I required and also was one of the top 10 universities in Australia.
Fees
$66,000 for 2 years. Each subject is 4900$ and it requires 16 subjects to complete your master's degree. Scholarships can help you reduce a lot of money.
Overview
It was pure luck that I found this university while searching a good institute for me to continue my higher studies and at that time I found this university and got really impressed by it's lab facilities and research program.
Fees
20,000 AUD for one semester
Overview
I love the campus and the quality of education is high also the student satisfaction rate is high and the employability rate is high not to mention the good international reputation of the university. Also, there are so many extracurricular that you can do and an amazing library.
Fees
Being an international student studying at UOW is really expensive. Also, the fees are subject to an increase that they never mentioned in the offer letter which doesn't make sense.
Overview
Because it was local. Having a university only 10 minutes from my house means I am able to save money by staying at home and using public transport to get to and from my university on any given day. It also means I am able to remain at my current job.
Fees
HECS fee or upfront payment. This means that students can either accrue their fees to pay once they're earning a certain amount or pay as they go through their course.
Overview
I chose this college because it has a reputable law faculty and is close to home as I live in Wollongong, access to the university is simple and cheap through a free shuttle bus. Many people I know also go there which is beneficial for my social life.
Fees
The fee structure is either semesterly or through HECS help which is a student loan where you borrow the full amount of your tuition fee from the government and slowly pay it off as you are employed in a full-time job.
