However, since Mathematics and Computing shares many subjects with Computer Science, you can get a taste of CS in MNC (Mathematics and Computing) as well. Plus, IITs offer the flexibility to choose courses from other branches. Four years is a significant amount of time, so living in a city like Delhi is a much better option than Kanpur. IIT Delhi is located in Hauz Khas, one of the poshest areas in Delhi, with plenty of interesting places nearby for fun. In contrast, IIT Kanpur's campus is reportedly far from the main city. IIT Delhi's location provides access to all kinds of coaching for future exams, which is not as readily available in Kanpur. Many students from IIT Kanpur come to Delhi to prepare for exams, especially for civil services.
