Do I have to sign a bond if I get MD or MS at NMCH Patna through Bihar state quota?

Yes. Bihar state quota MD and MS candidates at NMCH Patna must sign a bond committing to three years of compulsory government service in Bihar after completing the programme. Breaking the bond means paying a penalty of 25,00,000 plus full recovery of the stipend received during the course. All India Quota seats through MCC do not carry this bond condition.

Can candidates from outside Bihar apply for MD or MS at NMCH Patna?

Yes. Candidates from outside Bihar can apply for the 50% All India Quota seats through MCC counselling. The remaining 50% of MD/MS seats are reserved for Bihar domicile candidates through state PG counselling. If you are not a Bihar domicile, you can only compete for AIQ seats and the bond condition does not apply to you.

Do MD and MS residents at NMCH Patna get a stipend during the programme?

Yes. As per Bihar government norms, residents receive 82,000 per month in the first year, 90,200 in the second year, and 99,220 in the third year. Keep in mind that if you violate the bond condition after completing the programme, this entire stipend amount is recoverable along with the financial penalty.

My internship ends in October 2026. Can I still appear for NEET PG 2026?

No. NEET PG 2026 requires completion of compulsory rotatory internship by September 30, 2026. If your internship completes after this date, you are not eligible for the 2026 cycle and will need to apply in the next NEET PG cycle. Always check the official NBEMS bulletin for any last-minute changes to this deadline.

Is DCECE PM the only route to Diploma paramedical admissions at NMCH Patna, or is there a direct admission option?

DCECE PM is the only route. There is no direct admission, management quota, or lateral entry for the Diploma programmes at NMCH Patna. You must register through the BCECEB portal, appear for DCECE PM, and participate in online counselling to secure a seat. There is no separate college-level application process.

What documents should I carry for reporting at NMCH Patna after getting an MD or MS seat?

You will need your original MBBS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, NEET PG 2026 scorecard, NMC or State Medical Council registration certificate, Bihar domicile certificate (for state quota candidates), the seat allotment letter from MCC or the Bihar state counselling authority, and category certificate if applicable. Carry multiple self-attested photocopies of each document as the college may retain originals temporarily during the verification process.
