Rajasthan Unani Medical College & Hospital was founded in 1980 by The Taraqqi Tibbi Society, Rajasthan. It was developed in to an elaborate medical system by the Arabs who gave it a scientific base. 

• Previously it was affiliated with the University Rajasthan, now it is affiliated to the Rajasthan Ayurved University Jodhpur.
• The college is recognized by State Government and C.C.I.M. New Delhi.
• The college is imparting education in B.U.M.S. degree course.

• Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat (B. U.M.S.) (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)

It is a four and a half years course which includes the main course with 1 year compulsory
internship training Program. It has various subjects in its curricula and these subjects are taught by respective departments.

This institution has various departments in B. U. M. S. course and these departments impart quality education to the students. Some of the departments are:

• Department of Kulliyat – e – Hb (Principle of Medicine)
• Department of Tashreeh – ul – Badan (Anatomy)
• Department of Moalijat (Medicine)

• Some important herbal medicines which are cultivated in are Safaid Moosli, Satawar, Ashgandh, Tukhum Hallu, Babchi, Podhina, Siah Moosli etc.
