Sree Siddhartha Medical College and Research Centre, Tumkur, Karnataka, Sree Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) was founded in the year 1988 in Tumkur district, Bangalore in the state of Karnataka by Sree Siddhartha Educational Society. It is a private College offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses/Diploma courses. The PG/Diploma courses are recognized by the MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA. The College environment is conducive to learning. The College’s motto is Sabbe Loko Hitatthaya (Let all be Happy and Prosperous). This is what the College aims to achieve by imparting quality and wholesome education on the principles of Friendship and corporation to students to make them better-prepared citizens.

It has 21 buildings which include furnished quarters for staffs. Separate buildings are present for pre and para-clinical departments. The College has a well-organized and rich Library containing a large number of books (course books and reference books), journals, encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, etc.
- Own Hospital and Research Centre: SSMC has its own Hospital, which is equipped with all the facilities. It has separate building for OPD and causality with independent departments of Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, ENT, Dermatology, and Radiology with a capacity of 1350 beds. The hospital has qualified doctors and skilled nurses highly. There are a bank and post office in the premises. There is a canteen, hospital mess, fruit stall and a phone booth to cater the needs of the public. There are distinct Hostel services for UG, PG and NRI students is available with each hostel having its mess serving delicious vegetarian food. The College also has a Research Centre with research programmes on the subjects mentioned above.​
